Teaching Assistantship

Do you yearn to learn more about the French culture while promoting cultural exchange between the French and Americans? 

Deadline:  

January 15 of every year

Applications will usually open on October 15 of every year

 

OPEN TO:

Students & College Graduates between the ages of 20-35

​

 

LOCATION:

ANY CITY IN FRANCE

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

ARE YOU:

  • A U.S. citizen or permanent resident?

  • A student who will be studying abroad for an Academic Year in France and who will have completed at least 3 years of college by the time you go abroad? OR

  • A college graduate?

  • A native English speaker?

  • Someone who has at least an Intermediate level of French?

If you answered YES to 4 of the questions above,

then you are eligible to apply for the TAPIF program!

​

WHAT IS IT EXACTLY?

If accepted, you will help guide English conversations in French middle schools or high schools for 12 hours/week. 

         

          Program Dates: October - April

          NET Pay (after taxes): ~€810 per month (NET)

 

Positions in Paris are limited, however, if you check off that you are willing to work en banlieue parisienne (in the suburbs of Paris), you are more likely to get accepted.
